Ah, Space Cadets.... you know we try to keep it light.... and we fail.... but we can't not talk about the thousands of children who have been ripped from their loving families are are currently being held in concentration camps. This is horrific and nauseating and, sad to say, exactly what the Trump supporters in my life wanted to happen.
Welp, it finally happened, Space Cadets. We both forgot how to think on the same exact day. So--welcome to an all new, all tail-chasing Sound of Tomorrow! Ross has donned his best rainbow Speedo for Pride and we're off to the races with a RuPaul Recap and a brand new topic: things kind of suck for cishet men, too. You didn't think we'd say it, huh? After the TMBG DAS "Corrupted Lyle," we're bringing it down ('cause you know we can't help it) talking about depression and what "get help" can sound like at look like at times.
Starting the show off right with some classic ghosting with the mosting, it's an all new Sound of Tomorrow! Act 1 includes our new segment entitled "Rochester! You're Doing it Wrong!" and then we're on with a little voting news. We ran over the half-hour mark talking body positivity but don't worry! There's still the TMBG DAS to come! Wait? What? No? There's not? Don't worry.... we'll have more TMBG next week!
Shut it, Mrs. G.! It's an all new Sound of Tomorrow! In today's Part 1, we're talking Roseanne and Racism which takes way longer than we'd thought it would but let to some kind of interesting ideas! Part 2: Your vote matters! (vote.gov) Did you restart your router? And rejection! Which is one thing but rejection from a food is cruel, dammit, why do I still have Morrissey lyrics in my head all the time? Shoo! Go away! Maybe it's just part of the illness brought on after I touched my lips to that foam mic thing....
TMBG DAS: "The Bullies"!
Whoo-wee Space Cadets, it's another Sound of Tomorrow and another cornucopia of content! In this week's exciting episode, we're lightening up for once in our goddamned (no swearsies!) lives and taking about the royal wedding and baby names! After the TMBG DAS, McCafferty's bib, though, we're back to our usual dour selves discussing more reasons YOU need to get out and vote. Plus lava.
PS--Be sure to stay tuned for the absolute train wreck at the end! :D
Hi Mx Space Cadets! In this week's exciting Sound of Tomorrow, we're talking Men In Cars (Miss Craaaaane!), we've got an Anne Frank update (hot take? everyone farted.), legislation affecting the rights of trans people (please... please vote), and things your gynecologist wants you to stop doing!
Plus, are we beefin' with WAYO's beloved Our Week In Review? Stay tuned and we'll all find out!
Welp, you know what? We completely forgot to give any info on how to register to vote. Ugh, can we not remember anything?! But, fear not! So your Friendly Local Babe with the Power googled around for a sec and would like to take this moment to direct you to vote.gov. It looks like this site had good info on how to register in most states so go on out and get that done! We'll be so proud of you when you do! <3
Boy oh boy, Space Cadets, we are rarin' out of the gates with today's new Sound of Tomorrow! Starting it off big with Ross's UNFILTERED screed against the Rochester area drivers and grocery shoppers, we're onto what's the latest video to make Heather cry (Hint: "By the Time You Get This" by beloved TMBG. Look it up. It's great. You'll cry, too.). We hardly even get those filters back on for a discussion of how Janelle Monae and Kehlani's coming out announcements were received!
Woody Battaglia of WAYO's own Almost Tuesday (Monday nights, 9-11) is back on the SoT and we could not be gladder! After a deep dive into the origin story and provenance of Uncle Al's Coconut cookies which mysterious appeared unopened in the broadcast room DESPITE THE FACT THAT WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO EAT IN THERE and a discussion of how many teeth Heather has stashed in the secretary desk in her dining room (told you I know exactly where they are!)!!! Woody and Heather go on to recount their fabulous They Might Be Giants adventure last Thursday!
Do you like old timey Roman jokes? Do you like science and space news? Do you like Morrissey*? Then today's all new Sound of Tomorrow is for YOU! Actually, its for you even if you're kind of not into any of those things.
*You're going to want to rethink that one.
TMBG DAS: "Tractor."
