Tate Shaw
Bio:
Tate Shaw is an artist, writer, publisher, and curator living in Rochester, NY. He makes and publishes books by artists and his essays on books have appeared in Blurred Library (Cuneiform Press, 2017), Rereading Empathy (Bloomsbury 2022), and other publications. He is the Director of Tower Fine Arts Gallery and an Associate Professor of Art at SUNY Brockport.
Tate’s show Mouth Sounds is an extension of his interest in language and art. Mouth Sounds is a weekly collection of vocal performance and language art with experiments in choral music, poetry, speech acts, documentary, field recordings, and conversations with artists and writers.
