The Wayout mobile is back from the repair shop but they gave us the wrong kind of "Timing Belt" and we were sent all the way back to 1963!
A year punctuated with both triumph and tragedy, 1963 saw uplifting high's like Martin Luther King Junior's "I have a Dream" speach and the lowest of lows, the assasination of John F. Kennedy. Around the world, Russia sent the first woman into space, America was at war in Vietnam and the UK experienced "The Great Train Robbery". Through it all, music was a bright spot. The Beach Boys were #1 on the year end Hot 100 chart with Surfin' U.S.A. and a bevy of bands released tracks that would eventually become surf and instrumental classics.
